Terms of Use for the Pora app

Pora for Android, package com.malkvlab.pora.
Version dated 20 October 2026.

In short. Pora is a reminder app. You can use it without an account. An account lets you keep a backup of your reminders on our server and restore it on this phone or another one. Below: what we promise, what we cannot guarantee and how to opt out of all of it.

1. Who we are and how the terms are accepted

The app is published by Kirill Maluzenko, sole proprietor (individual entrepreneur registered in Russia), OGRNIP 325784700278800, INN 781142818837 ("we" below). Contact us, including to report an infringement of intellectual property rights: support@pora.malkvlab.com.

These terms are an agreement between us and you. You accept them by tapping a button:

If the terms do not suit you, do not tap these buttons and uninstall the app.

The app is not intended for children.

2. What the app does

Pora shows a reminder at the set time and waits for your answer: "Done", "Later" or "Skip". Your answers are collected in the history.

Reminders work without an account and without the internet: texts, schedules and history are stored on your phone.

The app is currently free. Paid features may appear in it later: you will see their price and terms before you pay.

3. Account

The account and the cloud backup are available in the app from version 0.2.0. An account is optional and is intended for people who are 18 or older.

4. Cloud backup

If you are signed in to an account, our server keeps a backup of your data: reminders with their texts, emoji and schedules, response history with notes, and app settings that are not tied to the phone. The backup is saved by the phone chosen for it - automatically, when you open and leave the app; automatic backup updates can be turned off in your profile. The server keeps up to three backups. Usually that means one backup per day: a new backup from the same day replaces the previous one.

The backup is there so that you can restore your data on this phone or another one. It reflects your data as of the last save: the most recent changes may not be in it yet. When you restore, the data on the phone is replaced with the backup.

You write the texts of reminders and notes yourself. We do not ask you to include health information or other information that the law gives special protection, and we do not single such information out from what you write. Everything you write is kept in the backup as is - so that the backup can be restored.

Our commitments:

5. Emails

Emails go to the address you entered. If your mailbox is served by an email provider outside Russia, the email will reach its servers: that is how email works, and the address is your choice. The account database and cloud backups are stored in Russia.

6. Data and statistics

How we handle data is described in the privacy policy. When you request a sign-in code, you separately give your consent to the processing of personal data.

The app sends usage statistics to an analytics service without adding your name, email address or account identifier to them: whether notifications arrive, how you answer them, which screens you open. They help us find and fix delivery failures and understand what to improve in the app. What exactly they include is listed in the privacy policy. The app has no switch for statistics: if you object to them, uninstall the app.

The malkvlab.com website uses Yandex Metrica: it places cookies and collects visit statistics. A notice on the site's pages tells you about this; how to opt out is described in the privacy policy.

7. What we ask you not to do

If an account is used for this, we may restrict sign-in to it and, if the violation continues, delete the account. The reminders on your phone remain.

8. What we cannot guarantee

Whether a notification arrives on time does not depend on the app alone: Android settings, battery saver mode, permissions and the phone manufacturer all affect it. We keep an eye on delivery and fix what depends on us, but we cannot promise that every reminder will arrive on time.

Pora is not a medical device and not an emergency alert tool. Do not rely on it as your only tool where a missed reminder could harm your health or cost you dearly.

We store the backup with care and keep internal backups of the server, but we cannot promise that the backup will survive under all circumstances. Your data stays on your phone all the same: the backup duplicates it rather than replacing it.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses caused by a missed or late reminder, an interruption in the server's operation or loss of the backup. These terms do not limit the rights that consumer protection law gives you.

9. If something changes

We develop the app and may change its set of features; obligations that have already arisen remain in force. The reminders on your phone do not depend on the account server.

The current version of the terms is at this address, with the version date at the top. If the terms change, we will publish the new version here and tell you about significant changes in the app. A new version applies to you from the moment you accept it by tapping a button in the app; until then, the version you accepted earlier applies. If a new version does not suit you, you can delete your account and stop using the app.

10. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Russian Federation. If you live in a country whose law gives consumers protection that cannot be waived by agreement, you keep that protection. If something goes wrong, write to us at support@pora.malkvlab.com: we reply within 30 days, and to requests about personal data within the time limits set out in the privacy policy. This does not limit your right to go to court, including the courts of the country where you live.

These terms are published in Russian and English. If the versions differ, the Russian version prevails.
